I am Patricia, founder of My Nawal.

In 2012 I moved to live in Guatemala for five years. After getting to know the country and falling in love with its beauty, its people and its culture, I was lucky enough to have access to official programmes to train and help indigenous communities living in very remote areas of the capital and with few resources.

These were handicrafts and hand embroidery using different textile techniques and traditions that had been handed down from generation to generation.

During all those years, in addition to building my current family, I started working with these communities. I was able to visit and get to know all the people we work with today.

It has been growing with a lot of passion, respect and affection towards its work, seeking to share its history, values, the meaning of each embroidery and the great effort behind each handmade product.
